Description

You are Kyron Arcstaff, a brave wizard with severe lower back problems. You are summoned forth by a wicked devil head who desires sadistic entertainment from you saving a caged princess who has also been cursed to lose hair drastically which can result in her death. Will you prevail against all odds to save her?

• Arrow keys = Movement
• Z = Jump
• X = Conjure clone
• C = Fire water bolt (requires tome)
• R = Restart

This is my (unsubmitted & overdue) submission for the 19th gm(48) game jam that ran from July 16 to 18, 2016:

Why wasn't it submitted?

The site was overloaded and I couldn't log in to the website to upload it. I was cutting it very close to the deadline and went over from trying to log in to the gm(48) website. They seemed very strict about the deadline and messaging moderators before the deadline, so I didn't message them. Maybe I should've. But hey, the game's here now - it exists.

What was the theme for the game jam?

It was supposed to be just "Only One Level" but for whatever reason I had incorporated all of the candidate themes as well: Countdown, Darkness, Transformation, Clones, time is score, Underground, Dungeon, Growth, save the princess.

Maybe the website didn't update and showed the candidate themes rather than the final decided theme initially. Despite this, I still worked within the starting time/deadline of 48 hours.
